“The Shreddite” Diego Vargas is a Nashville based shred guitarist. Combining his love of crushing riffs, fast guitars and modern production with a theatrical twist, he strives to bring the excitement of metal and shred to a whole new audience of headbangers. Taking influence from artists such as Ice Nine Kills, Nita Strauss, and Pantera, his music has been described as Cinematic Metalcore (Theatricore) mixed with thrash roots and enough shred to melt your face off. 

Born in sunny Southern California, Diego began playing guitar at the age of 10 and only a short three years later he would find himself playing his first ever show at the fabled Whisky a go-go. From then on he would spend his high school years touring across California. In the meantime he would also start to build an internet following with his high production videos and metal arrangements of pop culture songs. In 2021 he would join the rock band Abby K, touring all over the country and recording 8 singles before departing in 2023, launching his solo career.

He has toured the country with multiple artists, most notably opening as direct support for Nita Strauss on her Winter Wasteland tour. He released his debut single in October of 2023 “Dead by Dawn”, an exhilarating ride of chaotic riffs and intense shred inspired by horror movies of the past. He immediately followed it up with his latest single “Down With the Ship”, a dramatic metal dream that slowly turns into a nightmare about the pressures of life, and that we either rise to the occasion or go “Down With The Ship”.
 

 “The Shreddite” Diego Vargas’ is currently playing with Female Fronted Nashville Hard Rock Band  "Jane & The Killer Queens". He also has a third single on the way along with a pop culture metal cover and a jaw dropping live show in the works, he is planning on taking the metal world by storm, and he’s only just begun.
